There is no difference in audio quality between different digital optical cables for short (under 50 ft) lengths. You will either get a digital signal or you won't, it either works or it doesn't. The only differences would be in physical design and overall look of the housings between different cable manufacturers as well as the build quality of the housing and connectors. The build quality on this cable is quite nice and it seems sturdy.

I can recommend this cable for the price especially if you can get free shipping by adding it to an order with other items or if you have Amazon Prime. This cable performs no worse (nor any better) than another optical cable of this length however there are others that you may prefer the look of in about this same price range.

Overall though this cable for the price is a good buy since it's pretty cheap and seems well made. I do not hesitate using it in my audiophile system and recommend it to others.

This little Toslink fiberoptic cable works fine, in spite of its amazingly low price. Well constructed and sturdy, it appears to be very durable. Recommended.

I heard about AmazonBasics a little while back, and i so when i was in the need for some optical audio cables i thought i'd check them out. I compared prices with Monoprice and with shipping at Monoprice it came to a wash as i was already qualified for Super Saver Shipping. I decided to give these a try since i already had an order going and i'm so pleased i did.

Very flexible cables with nice sturdy connectors, far better than anything i've ordered from Cables2Go off Amazon. These will be my default cables from now on. I wonder if their HDMI cables have the same rubberized flexible construction...

There was one drawback, the little rubberplastic cap that comes on the end to protect it is not attached to the cable itself at all. This makes them very easy to lose, so if you move your cables a lot, keep track of them.

All in all, great cables, great value and always a pleasure ordering from Amazon. Ordered on a Friday with SSS and got my gear on Wednesday.

Got two different cables in this new AmazonBasics line and both are just great!

This audio optical cable also has a nice flexible outer cover with solid feeling ends on it, seems to be same as higher priced cable I've seen.

I've never felt the desire to use this cable connection because of the higher prices you see on them... figured I could stick with the RCA or Coaxial type feed to save some money. Now, I have the best link for audio you can have these days... nice!

Not a thing wrong with Amazon's no frills packaging, sturdy and does the job with no problems on this end.

BTW, Don't get in a hurry and forget to remove the plastic protectors from the optical ends before you plug this in.

Low price with a one year warranty, might be time to replace all my cables.

Work as it should except look a little cheesy. Give it a 4...only if it look as good as monster cable.
