I pulled this out of the box, put the batteries in the keyboard, plugged the receiver in and waited about a minute for the install to complete. That was it. I did not have to use the install disk or anything special.

It works right out of the box. The keyboard uses 2 AAA batteries which are included. Both the keyboard and the mouse are very lightweight. I really like the keyboard. The keys are solid, rather quiet and depress easily. I can type very fast on it. The mouse is a little sensitive and it took a few minutes to get used to it, but I like that too as now it does not take much wrist motion for mouse operations.

There are not a lot of fancy keys on the keyboard and the mouse is a standard mouse. Perfect for me, I never use all the extra functionalities anyway. THey get in my way. This is a great basic set!

I have complained about the 'wires' behind my desk. Finally took the giant step and did some research or lots of it, and selected 'Logitech Wireless Desktop Mk 300'. I can't praise this enough. Both the keyboard and mouse live up to the description and more. It looks great, too.

I've had my MK300 for the last week and have been very pleased with the mouse/keyboard combo. Overall a great product for the money.
