This MediaLink wireless adapter works great - I had to get a new adapter when I got a Win 7 64-bit computer, and found my other adapter model - a Linksys - will not support the new system. I looked at other, newer Linksys adapters as well as this one from Medialink, and decided on the Medialink.
Installation with the included software was a breeze and the adapter immediately located my signal from the router, which is a full floor and several rooms away.
I was worried that since I opted for an adapter without a movable antenna, I might have problems with maintaining a connection, but the signal is strong, and has remained so for the several days I’ve now had it installed. And, even though this USB adapter can plug straight into the computer, MediaLink also includes a base and cord you can use, so you can plug the adapter into the base and move it around a bit to get a stronger signal if you need it. I’ve got mine now in the base and have it resting on top of my monitor, which keeps it up and out of the way. Very convenient.
This adapter has proven itself to be a real value for the money. I highly recommend it.
