Easy to use, we are not pro users. We feel it a little hevier than other in the category. And also a bit expensive point and shoot. No problem at all with the photographs.

I bought this right when it came out at best buy. This camera does take some time getting used to. For ex. you need to hold the shutter button down for a little bit so the camera can process autofocus and only then take the picture. If you don’t do this your photos will turn out blurry and bland. Also turning off some of the effects and playing around with that will help you with making the photo look better. Once you figure out the adjustments and how to use this camera, in my opinion its the best point and shoot.

I own two DSLRs and was looking for a compact digital camera to take with me when taking a DSLR is not convenience.

I have conducted researches on other brands (Panasonic and FujiFilm), and finally decided on this camera. One of the major factors causing me to make this decision is its relatively fast shutter lag, and fast start up. The crystal clear 920,000 dots LCD, 10X zoom and VR lenses are the added bonus and again, impressive for a camera of such size.

The image quality is very good, and even on all auto mode, it performs very well. It is also performing relative well under a low light situation. This camera has good ISO performance up to 800. This is good enough for situation where there is enough light (e.g., indoor or museum). In a setting where light is dimmed, e.g., a church, you might need to crank the ISO to 1600. At that level, you will see quite a bit of noise.

One other very impressive thing is its ability to take macro pictures. I can take a really close up shot (a couple of inches from the object). This camera is quite easy to use with various fancy and fun setting options.

In conclusion, it performs quite well in a low light situation but will struggle in a dimmed light environment unless you increase the ISO. Nonetheless, whether you buy this as a main camera, or as a “take-around” camera when you don’t want to bring a DSLR everywhere, this camera is a pretty good choice.
