Product Description
The Classic Controller is an expansion for the Wii’s Remote. It connects to the port on the bottom of the Wii Remote to allow for wireless connectivity with the Wii console. The shape and style of the Classic Controller is more like the traditional controller design, which allows for ease of use with the classic games available through the Virtual Console.

First off I don’t play virtual console very much so if there appears to be ignorance in that department that’s why.
At first I thought that it was an alternative for the wiimote in all games as is visible comments, but now I know better. Although you can use it on Brawl, MarioKart and I have heard it is usible for Resident Evil 4. I cannot tell you how it works for Resident Evil 4 because I have not played that game. However I have tried it for brawl and it didn’t work well. My biggest complaint is that it feels kind of cheap and it just doesn’t feel right in my hand. It just isn’t comfortable because of the shape. I think they should redesign it to be more comfortable.
Now we come to another problem I have wih it. A Gamecube controller works with vc too and it fits great in my hands. I have heard that the button layout doesn’t work well(GC controller) and I can’t tell you whether that is true or not, but I can say that I can reach any button fairly easily on the GC controller. Plus you can use the GC controller for Gamecube games so it is a much better value. In addition to better value you also don’t have to deal with a wiimote hanging off of the controller and no wire if at all if you get a wavebird controller.
P.S. If anyone would like to tell me something incorrect with one of my statements or if you simply have a differing opinion please feel free to write a comment, but please be atleast somewhat polite and I will try to respond quickly.
